Thailand passport photo: there is none to bring
No size, no background colour, no print. The authority produces the image itself, so nothing here is yours to prepare.

Our editor cuts a photo to a published size. Thailand publishes none for this document, so there is nothing to cut to. We would rather say that than hand you a crop no office asked for.
Thailand passport
Thailand asks for no photograph in its passport document checklists: the official checklist names the national ID card, the birth certificate, the house registration and the previous passport, and nothing else from the applicant. The Department of Consular Affairs also states that the passport records biometric data, namely the facial photograph, the fingerprints and the iris image, and advises contact lens wearers to use clear lenses so the iris can be recorded, which describes capture at the counter.
How the image is produced
An officer photographs you at the counter when you apply.
No official page says it outright. Every published list of what to bring contains no photograph, and that is what this rests on.
Where a photo is still accepted
Scope: the ordinary passport applied for in Thailand. Royal Thai Embassy pages abroad hide their detail behind unrendered accordions and were not verified.
